Anne has been painting dogs and cats for her greeting card line Anne Made for over 20 years. How time has flown!

Here’s a little history…

She went to art school in Philadelphia, the city of her birth. She studied fabric design there and tapestry weaving and got into outsider art and working on a loom. She wove tapestries filled with strange primitive animals.

She had tons of jobs* over the years in many art (and non-art) related jobs before she discovered her true niche- Anne Made Cards.

Anne doesn’t just paint animals- she likes to paint and draw people too- and scenes of domestic life- and whatever is going on in her world.

Kinda crafty she has has also done some limited edition projects like her hand-made clocks and her much beloved Bud & Gabby dolls based on her kid’s books Bud & Gabby and No Dogs Allowed.

Anne lives and works in Barre Vermont. The four big windows in her garage studio were put there by a previous owner—a granite sculptor who was noted for his angels.

*Bookbinder, graphic designer, weaving teacher, t-shirt designer, shop-clerk, cleaner of offices, waiting tables, newspaper paste-up, massage therapist- just some of the stops along the way.
